That’s me. There’s not too much to know about myself besides the fact that I care about my series ‘The Half Dead Hangman’ more than words can say. The characters, especially, have been stuck in my mind for years, just begging for me to bring them to life on a page. And so, I did that.
The reason for the mash-up of Victorian and Elizabethan styles in my book? I simply like them both. The grand stone architecture of Victorian London… the intricate fashion of the Elizabeth nobility… these, and more, inspire my work greatly. I too, like these time periods, am English, so maybe I hold a bias towards other cultural styles.
I hope to widen this series to at least four books (If you’re from the future and I’ve done this, tell me to write some more.) so that I can properly expand the world of the Lower Realm and Sub-Albion.
I think my greatest ambition would be to turn the series into more than just books; a videogame, for example, where the tense action scenes of the books can be played in the audience’s way, or a movie, so that the chilling characters can be shown in ultra-high quality.
Well, wherever the series takes me, just know: I enjoyed writing it. And I hope you enjoy reading it too.
